Tail paints
Tail paints can play an important part in the detection of oestrus in cattle.
Tail paint should be applied in a 10cm wide strip for about 20cm along the tail head of the cow. The part or total removal of the paint by a mounting animal indicates that the mounted cow is likely to be on heat.

FOAM MARK
Foam Mark is an easy identifier to help farmers identify cows needing to be drafted or watched closely. A pink foam forms a raised colour blob that can be seen for 30 metres, and is ideal to help farm staff quickly recognise animals for drafting. It is easily applied from a 250ml aerosol can.
Foam Mark is temporary. It disappears within a hour or two. This is a real bonus because it means you don't have paint marks left on your cows weeks after drafting them.
